I received an e-mail message from Suzanne Horn that she has authorized me to post in full:
Dear Bob,
I received a congratulatory email from George Mander yesterday after he read the results from the Pacific show on Roseshow.com. He noted I won 11 trophies when in fact I actually won 17 trophies. As always, Roseshow.com does not list complete results, but only those results that are incorporated into your annual statistics. Vases of 6, vases of 12, English boxes, etc. go unreported.
I understand you report what you use, and reporting full show results would be a lot more work. It used to not be a big deal, since Glenn Fiery was reporting the complete show results on the District website. Now that Brenda doesn't report any show results, there is no place at all one can go to get the complete show results for a rose show. That doesn't seem right and is very discouraging to me as an exhibitor. Furthermore, as a member of ARES, I feel obliged to comment on the situation.
I hesitated to bring up the subject of reporting full results to you because I feel certain you will not want to do it. However, I realized it should be my obligation as a member/director of ARES to bring up subjects that affect exhibitors, either positively or negatively. I am hopeful you might have a suggestion where full results can be reported.

Hi Suzanne,
You make a good point and I understand how you feel. I have long followed the practice of posting results by reference to the show reports I receive and compile on a standardized basis. There are a lot of reasons that I compile results on a standardized basis. And, it has always been simple to then cut and paste the Excel input into the website page.
But having said that, the program I am using for RoseShow. com is pretty simple to use and I can as easily cut and paste complete results when I have them available. So I am willing to try it the way you suggest. And, while I am at, would you mind if I posted your note to my blog with an announcement that I am going to do results as you suggest and a further invitation for societies to send complete results.
